Long Island Creek watershed is a large drainage basin located in Sandy Springs, with its Eastern origination point just Southwest of the intersection of Glenridge Dr. and Glenforest Rd.  The Northern boundary is generally Mount Vernon Hwy and the Southern boundary is generally Mt. Paran Rd.  The runoff from the watershed area creates Long Island Creek, which flows in a West-Southwesterly direction to the Chattahoochee River.
